About Us

A student will become like the teacher, so it's vital to investigate who you hire for your student.

Timothy G. Stephenson, MPH   (Mr. Stephenson is currently accepting new students.)

  • Serious about my Christian faith for 37 years (see the Westminster Confession and the Westminster Larger Catechism for details on what I believe);
  • Active in Covenant Church of Willis, part of the Fellowship of Reformed Churches, since moving here ten years ago; a Deacon at Foothills Presbyterian Church in Southern California; ten years of church and community theater ministry; and an Epidemiologist with a summer medical missionary project in Swaziland;
  • Married 21 years and thrilled with my dear wife; one daughter who respects advice from parents and elders, exhibits Godly character and makes wise choices;
  • I believe in and teach a literal six-day creation. I will explain the currently taught evolutionary philosophies since students are expected to know them, but I do so making it very clear that I consider evolution to be worthless as a statement of origins and at best useful only as a rough tool in classification (as one could say that roadsters and coupes are 'cousins').
  • I believe and teach that one should save intercourse and related behaviors for marriage, and that life begins at conception. I teach about birth control if requested by parents; when I do I make sure to explain the abortifacient actions of birth control pills.
  • Minor farm skills: I've milked our cow in rain, sleet, and snow, wrassled calves, built fences, mowed fields, thrown hay, fixed trucks, and put venison in the freezer.
  • I enjoy web design and blacksmithing, but my greatest joy is being a good husband and father;
  • For character references contact my pastors (email us for their names and contact information).
  • Teaching Credential (California: Biology, Health, and General Science), California State University at San Bernardino,1984;
  • Master's in Public Health (Epidemiology, with concentration in Infectious and Tropical Diseases), UCLA, 1982;
  • Bachelor of Science (Biological Sciences), University of California at Irvine, 1979;
  • Additional coursework at University of San Diego, University of California at Santa Barbara, San Jose State University, and a variety of community college courses, 1974-1997
  • Secondary Teacher, Eisenhower High School (Biology, Life Science, Physical Science), Rialto, CA, 1984-1998;
  • University Extension Instructor, University of California, Riverside (ESL), 1988;
  • Homeschool Group Teacher (Physical Science), 2003;
  • Headmaster, Covenant School (homeschool for our daughter, all subjects), 1997-2008;
  • County Epidemiologist, San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, 1983-84;
  • Epidemiology Assistant, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Acute Communicable Disease Control, 1981-1983.
  • Rubella in hospital employees. Strassburg MA, Stephenson TG, Habel LA, Fannin SL. Infection Control 1984 Mar; 5(3):123-6 (article in peer-reviewed scientific journal)
  • Clinical effectiveness of rubella vaccine in a college population. Strassburg MA, Greenland S, Stephenson TG, Weiss BP, Aurbach D, Habel LA, Leib LE. Vaccine 1985 Jun;3(2):109-12 (article in peer-reviewed scientific journal)
  • Contributor to miscellaneous articles and case reports in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (US Centers for Disease Control) and California Morbidity (California State Dept of Public Health), 1983 - 1984
